UPDATED: JAN 27, 2012 Can. Golden colour with a white head. Deep malty aroma. malty and a bit fruity, but a too strong alcohol flavour destroyes it

330 ml can. Golden body with a big, creamy white head. Aroma is mild malty and sugar with surprisingly little alcohol. Feels quite fresh and soft with sweet malt, some fruit and moderate bitterness and some warming alcohol. Medium body, short aftertaste. Actually quite OK and less boozy than expected.

Bottled, 330ml from Booths, Longton, Lancs. Yellow gold with fizzed white head. Sweet maize aroma off the top leading to again a sweetened, malty heavy jumble with overriding alcohol. Fairly poor.

Bottle. golden colour with medium white head. Aroma and taste of grain, malt and a bit flowerish finish. Fresh and nice but short mouthfeel and finish.

Bottle at home ... golden yellow ... thin white ... grassy musty lager hop nose ... sweet grassy lager ... light sweet syrupy hop ... more dull ... than total rubbish

Tasted this during a blind tasting with Elk brew. The first one did at first sip feel like a cheap strong lager, but this one actually came out as quite decent. It doesn’t taste much though, but the alcohol is well hidden. A bit sweet and lightly bready taste, with a light bitter finish.

Bottle from The Rake cheap shelf. Gold, thin white head. Stale malt on aroma. Bit of hop. Not a very good syrupy strong beer.
