Bottle at home ... golden yellow ... thin white ... grassy musty lager hop nose ... sweet grassy lager ... light sweet syrupy hop ... more dull ... than total rubbish

Tasted this during a blind tasting with Elk brew. The first one did at first sip feel like a cheap strong lager, but this one actually came out as quite decent. It doesn’t taste much though, but the alcohol is well hidden. A bit sweet and lightly bready taste, with a light bitter finish.

Bottle from The Rake cheap shelf. Gold, thin white head. Stale malt on aroma. Bit of hop. Not a very good syrupy strong beer.

Bottle at the Market Porter, Southwark, 27 January 2010 - from the cheapie shelf. Gold colour. Lasting white head. Very grainy, corny aroma. Tastes a bit better (but not much). Some hops. Reasonably clean mouthfeel but a bit flabby. Overall, not great.

Bov (9717) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 4, 2009
courtesy of Antonio Ruiz - clear golden colour with a solid white foam; aroma of oily grass and paperboard with light notes of alcohol underneath; medium-bodied, very sweet and sticky, very fizzy and evanescent on the end of the tongue; somehow manages to be quite dry with a harsh bitterness; grassy, salty and warming finish with lingering fruity notes - almost drinkable

bottle from nelson’s south wim. Dark straw yellow colour, thin fine white head. Not at all corny and well hidden alcohol. Smooth in flavour and all in all pleasant.

12th July 2008. Pale lager with a cmooth creamy malt tone. Quite a dry finish. Respectable.

330ml can (Systembolaget, Stockholm)
Pale, fizzy. Oooh, it’s got the stong lager aroma, and not necessarily the good kind. Sickly sweetish maltiness with a hint of heavy metals that normally spell malt liquor. Fortunately it doesn’t have those in the taste as much as I feared. Perhaps a bit cheap and unsophisticated, but at least it has some flavour, and isn’t rank. Finish is heavy metals.

Thanks to Finn for sharing a 500ml can during a rating session at Elsas. One-finger, white head mostly diminishing over a clear golden body. Alcohol heating to the nose, some malty notes behind. Sharpness of honeyed sweet malts in flavour. More outward heating from the alcohol. Very sweet and very easy to forget (Skibotn, 29.08.2009).
