Wittales (761) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Appearance was hazy deep orangish gold with creamy off white diminishing 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet malt upfront, then citrus, pine, spruce, butterscotch, no alcohol present. Taste was sweet caramel, toffee malts then spicey, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, resin, hints of alcohol. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with meduim body, then lasting citrusy, resinous sticky malty finish. Good solid IPA, but something amiss...

Sampled at the Brew’s Best Beer Fest on my trip to Vegas, back in 2011. Pours a hazy amber-copper with a beige creamy head. Nice smell of caramel, spices and other malts. Medium-bodied. The taste is more malty than hoppy. Well balanced between dryness and wetness for mouthfeel. Nice overall.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and hints of butterscotch, leading to a bitter finish. Weird. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear pale amber with a white head. Piney almost herbal aroma. Medium body, a pretty caramellish base, again this sharp, herbal hoppiness - even turpentineish. Has a dry and bitter finish. 021112

Bottle from Total Wine, Henderson, NV
Hazy light amber color; small compact head. Light aroma of hay and some resins. Dry mouthfeel, some hay flavor, straws; correct bitterness. Seems unfresh.
