Pint at the brewpub. Opaque, thick muddy brown, no head worth speaking about. Lemony, piney and pungent nose. Spicey, rye-pumpernickel flavor dominates, with a fair amount of PNW hops seeping through the thick body, if you work for them. Fairly dry, long and slightly sour finish; some orangy sweetness evident in the midpalate. Served way too cold, let it warm up a bit. More interesting than quaffable, maybe; bears some resemblance to Bürgerbräu Wolnzacher Roggenbier, which is saying something...a bit less distinctive, but more drinkable than the Bavarian mud.
