Three Needs Dortmunder Export

Dec 2001: On tap at the brewery. Comes off initially as sort of a darker pils, but settles as it warms into a rather bland mainstream German lager. Very drinkable, but thinnish and boring.

Feb 2003: Bland, bland bland. I'm giving it some points for the amazingly bright, pretty color, but this is a real nothing of a lager that just fades away as soon as it hits the tongue. Even 3N usually has a much better beer.

Toasty, perhaps too hoppy for the style. But whether or not it fits the style it is a great beer that is better than the some of its parts.
