Single Intent pays tribute to Belgium’s Trappist breweries, which make a lighter-bodied blonde ale that’s set apart for the monks’ personal consumption and not sold—hence the term Patersbier, meaning “father’s beer.” With a spicy, herbal aroma from French Strisselspalt hops, this crisp and complex ale is too good to keep cloistered.

Poured a cloudy golden yellow color with aromas of bread, yeast, light lemon and some spice. Flavors match the aromas with light bread and some lemon light spice in the aftertaste, decent overall.

Amber gold with a thin white bread. Aroma is lightly floral with a bit of perfume. Flavor is mildly fruity with hints of apple. Finishes clean with mild bitterness.

bottle @ Habersham Beverage / Savannah GA --- Hazy medium amber with a frothy white head, curtain of lace. Taste is caramel malt that grows nicely in the palate before moving to a smooth lightly bittered finish. Big body, chewy, very easy to drink. A solid light Belgian Ale.

I am not a fan of Belgium beers and this beer didn’t change my mind. Pours a clear golden color with frothy head. Aroma of malts and sweet fruit. Tastes very bland and overly malty. Medium bodies. I won’t be drinking this again.

12 oz bottle courtesy of secret santa. Thanks. Pours a clear brass color with a small white head that fades to a fine film. The aroma is strong with lemons, Belgian yeasts and bread. The taste features more Belgian yeasts, lemons, white fruits, grass, thyme and cookie dough. The palate was just a bit acidic and the carbonation was soft. Finished medium in duration with lingering bitter lemons. Overall: Very nice--they could easily call this a saison.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2014 Decent Belgian-style single with a little bit too much lemony acidity overshadowing all other flavors. Quite refreshing nonetheless.

It pours a pale, slightly hazy yellow with a beautiful long lasting, medium sized white head. It has the aroma of Belgian yeast along with a floral and bread aroma. It has a Belgian flavor to it and tastes of bread, dough, hay & cereal. Another wonder Atlanta area brewery. I hope to try more of this brewery’s beers.

Pours light golden with minimal white head. Nose is lightly estered with a typical Belgian feel. Taste is light and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
