White Hops is a nod to Georgiaís forgotten brewing history, taking its name from a mysterious and controversial Atlanta malt beverage sold in 1898. No one knows what the original tasted like, so we used and our imaginations and a Belgian yeast strain to concoct a white IPA, brewed with wheat malt, Citra hops, spices and grapefruit peel. Aromatic and intense, this ale is for hop enthusiasts looking to surpass the ordinary.

Incredible aroma with spice flavoring. The grapefruit aroma blended with the cumin makes you want to comeback for more.

On tap in Atlanta. This "white IPA" [55 IBU] looks like watery white grapefruit juice with a minimal weak head. Tart, fruity aroma and flavor with a near moderate bitter finish.

A slight standout in a style I really dig. Nice balance between sweet fruit, spices, citrusy hops and buttering, and a touch of tart in the finish. One I could easily drink all day, but had only one :("

12 ounce bottle, 6/16/14. Hazy pour with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of wheat, floral notes, citrus and tropical hops, oatmeal. The taste is big citrus and tropical hops, wheat and a peppery finish. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight lingering bitterness. A nice surprise from a brewery I hadnít heard of.

12 oz bottle. It pours a hazy pale yellow with a small white head. It has a wheat aroma but smells mostly of citrus & spicy hops. Itís very dry and has some wit like characteristics. . It has a strong grapefruit flavor. It is very refreshing and tastes very good. This is my second beer by this brewery and both were excellent. Iím glad I bought this and hope to drink it again in the future.

Skunked hoppy Belgian white nose. Hazy yellow pour no head. Coconut lime grapefruit on nose too. Coconut lime citrus bubblegum juicy fruit. Big carbonation. Lingering wheat. Meh. Rate beer every day!

Bottle @ Habersham Beverage / Savannah GA --- Cloudy dirty gold color, thin head cover, stripes of lace. This brew is Belgian Wit Bier wedded to an IPA. Taste begins with sweet malt thatís loaded with orange, lemon, and spices. It grows a little as it moves through the palate, then the citrus turns bitter, just enough to balance. The malt never gives in, though, reappearing for a sweet lingering finish. Interesting, tasty, recommended.
