3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2005
Cask (handpump) at the Three Tuns, Bishops Castle, Shropshire, October 2005. A straw coloured session bitter. Not much aroma. Mellow and easy drinking. Soft malt dominates the palate, with low bitterness. Like the Three Tuns XXX that I tried just before it, there was a degree of sweetness that doesn’t sit too comfortably in this style of beer. A decent pint nonetheless, served in cracking condition.
