3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle. Pours dark, almost black, brown with a one finger beige head. Small amount of lace. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma with a touch of maple. Flavor is typical for a porter with the addition of a bit of wheat and a bit of maple. Maple didnít really become noticable until near the end of the bottle. Full, velvety palate. Nice beer.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very maple-oriented porter. Strong Mae syrup notes in aroma and taste. Flavor is smokey -- almost oaky -- with maple over notes. Porter base seems solid, and its roastiness and slight bitterness do come through, but the primary flavor here is maple, which lingers. Good, but I wonder how much better this would be as a stout!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Smoky maple, chocolate, and creamy mocha aroma. Deep mahogany with a moderate tan head. Maple, coffee malt, caramel, and earthy ash flavor. Medium body and carbonation. My family runs a small maple syrup operation, so Iím all about the maple. This is an interpretation of a porter that works well for me.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a three finger khaki head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Maple and coffee nose, flavor is roasted coffee and some maple. Burnt coffee finish. Okay but not worth $9.95 for a 22oz bottle from Bertís Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The pour is very dark brown with a long-lasting beige head and a hint of ruby red. The aroma is of dark malts, coffee, yeast, and a little note of maple as promised. The body is medium to bold. The taste is also bold and dark with a dry finish. A nice beer from this fledgling brewery.
