We took our pilsner and "dry-hopped" it with roasted jalapenos. The result is a well balanced beer with a very intoxicating peppery-type aroma, great jalapeno flavor, and just a bit of lingering heat.

Hazy straw pour. Spicy aroma, with very nice spicy flavor! Mouthfeel was spicy and sharp. Nice! Long lasting spiciness was great.

Pouring at the Saturday sessions of Extreme Beerfest. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Light peppers, toast on the nose. Nice spicy peppers with a touch of smoke. Lingering heat, never horrible, just a nice slow burn. Very well done, long lingering heat.

22 oz poured a hazy dark yellow into a pilsner glass. Huge aroma of pepper and pickle juice. There’s something sweet & flowery there in the background, but can’t put my finger on it. Less than medium body, a bit watery. Malty & bready up front, but only for a split second as the jalepeno takes over. Not overpowering at all, lingers into a nice heat down the throat. I enjoy the baseline Bohemian Pilsner, so I find this a tasty version with some great flavor, not necessarily all heat.

Slightly heavier body than expected, with a denser mouthfeel than many other pils. Pleasing carbonation. Great aroma of slightly roasted peppers, a bit of sweetness that followed through into the flavor. The pilsner profile definitely allowed the subdued roasted jalapeno to come through. The warmth was smooth and outlasted the finish. Excellent - much better than other chile-centered beers I have had. Great job! Want to thank Annette and Nicole for braving the heat to bring a keg out to the Farm-a-Q! This paired perfectly with the arrangement of smoked and grilled dishes!

Bottle. Pours gold with white head. Nose and taste of spicy pepper, cooked jalapeño, green tomato, spicy malt and white pepper. Finishes with lots of pepper heat. Medium body.

22 oz. bottle. Used a pilsner glass. Nose is all Pepper. The taste is mild, bready malt with a blast of jalapeño. And I mean a BLAST! Damn, I really respect the women brewing beer at Throwback but for me; this beer is one dimensional and kind of unpleasant. I don’t like drinking jalapeño water. Sorry Nicole, I can’t buy another bottle of this.

Enjoyed on tap at the Thirsty Moose. A good drinkable pilsner with turned up heat. A base of malt and wheat mostly, I got very little hops. Little colour or head. Average plus mouthfeel.

On tap at the NH Brewers fest. 4 oz served in a small glass poured a deep golden yellow color with a thinnish off white head. The aroma is obviously jalapeno as soon as I set my nose over the glass. There’s some sweet bready pilsner malt backing up the pepper, but it has a hard time finding a voice. The flavor is quite mild from what I expected from the aroma. The pepper is there up front but it is all flavor with very little heat. Mild bready and caramel malt sweetness provide a nice backdrop before the pepper flavor throws a mild lingering heat. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. This is a great beer, I went back for seconds, its a really nice pilsner and the jalapenos add an odd, but very flavorful component to the beer.

Don’t let the name fool you.... if you like jalepenos.. this is the beer for you. As a simple Irishman, this wasn’t for me. Jalepenos in the nose and over-powering on the tongue and it leaves a warm rushing feeling when you swallow. Wow!!! STRONG. Glad I only had a sample at the Brewfest at Redhook in Portsmouth NH.
