COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Very evident hop character in nose and flavor. Hops give this beer a clean, refreshing mouthfeel. Malted barley grown in the Midwest U.S. Columbus and Cascade hops grown in the Yakima Valley.

Bottle. Slight haze to this orange pour, with a small clingy white head. Malt forward on the nose - earthy and slight caramel - with a touch of hops. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly dry. Kind of ho-hum, but not bad.

January 2012 from bottle. Orange amber color with a white head. Malt and caramel aromas with some earthy tones. Hops, light fruit and peppery flavors.

Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a short, dense white head. The aroma picked up pale and honey malts with spicy earth and grassy hoppage around.. decent balance to it. The flavor found pale and biscuity malts at the core, with lemon zest, black pepper, and fruity bitterness around.. honey sweetness and nondescript residual bitterness on the finish. Lighter-bodied and grainy on the palate with decent balance.. nothing exciting about this one, but it was drinkable.

4 oz. pour from 12 oz. bottle, split with friends while watching the bowl games. Thanks, iradog, for picking this up in Green Bay and sharing. Pours a hazy, light amber with a moderate amount of beige head. Pleasant, malty smell. Dry flavor features melon. Soft in the palate. Thunder River Pale Ale is decent but forgettable. The fourth of five Thunder River beers I sampled in a row.
