COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark wheat has a bold, dark color that surprises the drinker with a mild clean flavor. This beer is a black version of an American Wheat, with some locally malted corn added for a drier, more drinkable, local flavor. Germans would consider this a beer an American version of a Dunkel Weizen.

Can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of burnt carmel, toffee, wheat and roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, burnt carmel, toffee and wheat with a smooth lingering roasty finish.

Tap @ Thunderhead. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Dark chocolate, light coffee, a touch fruity aroma. Light toffee, toasty malty, chocolate flavor with a hint of banana. A bit thin. I was a little disappointed with this one.

Can. Chocolate and wheat malt aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large tan head. Sweet milk chocolate and wheat malt flavor. Nice body. Excellent - basically a top of the line dunkel/porter.

Thanks to zdk9 for sharing this can. The beer pours a dark brown color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some darker malts. The flavor is very nice with coffee, wheat and chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice.

(12oz can thanks to zdk9) dark clear brown with creamy khaki bubbles. Nose of wheat, sweet nuts and cinnamon. Taste of dry wheat, caramel, spices and nuts. Thinnish body but a nice lasting linger. Pretty good wheat beer.
