The Travlr tasting at ChrisO’s. Thanks to Gene for all the beers and Chris for hosting. Hazy dark amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy with good fine carbonation. Sweet creamy malts. Sweet esters. Trace of thin dark chocolate. Light finish. Passable.

Can shared at chriso’s. Thanks to Gene. Pours clear reddish brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds burnt wheat and cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with chalky cocoa, orange, burnt toast, milk chocolate. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Pleasant bittersweet cocoa on the finish, some dark fruits. Nice one.

Dark mahogany brown with moderate beige edgeing.
Nose is dark fruit shreds, chocolate, light spice, toffee.
Taste comprises brown bread, cocoa powder, dark fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough for style and definitely the best dark wheat bier I’ve raked from Nebraska!!!

(12oz can, courtesy of zdk9) Pours a dark burgundy body with a small beige head. Aroma of wheat, roasted malt, some chocolate, and caramel. Flavor of rye, roasted malt, chocolate, and toasted grain.

Can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of burnt carmel, toffee, wheat and roastiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, burnt carmel, toffee and wheat with a smooth lingering roasty finish.

12oz can-trade with heemer77-rich tan head that dissipates-mahogany. A-sweet cocoa/molasses-med malt. T-cocoa/molasses-med malt, biting character front to midpalate. As it fades, some ashy comes in.

Tap @ Thunderhead. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. Dark chocolate, light coffee, a touch fruity aroma. Light toffee, toasty malty, chocolate flavor with a hint of banana. A bit thin. I was a little disappointed with this one.

Can. Chocolate and wheat malt aroma. Dark chestnut brown with large tan head. Sweet milk chocolate and wheat malt flavor. Nice body. Excellent - basically a top of the line dunkel/porter.
