A total surprise at the post office from a friend of friend and shipped from Japan. My 367th beer from Michael Jackson’s Good Beer Guide one of only a few Roggenbeirs that I have had amazing wish more breweries made these. Banana + spice from the Rye Malt= delicious.

Bottle. Pours clear tea amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt with fruity and flowery notes. Miædly sweetish taste of malt with subtle flowery and hoppy touches. Distictly watery mouthfeel. Bready aftertaste. A little disappointing but definitely drinkable.

Pours. Bottle which pours copper with a thin white head which fades very quickly. Aroma is melt Luke but sweeter. Dark fruit with rye, fruit and dark caramel. Rate is smooth with some quite a tart finish. Different and enjoyable.

Reminds me of dark wheat beer, unfiltered. Pours cloudy copper reddish, small foam diminishes in nothing. On nose - rye malty, plums, unripe fruits a bit, sweetish, a bit caramely. Complex flavour, pleasant. Taste is semisweet, semisour, light bitter, more in aftertaste, minimal presence of toasted malt inflavor. Light dry mouthfeel and finish. nice brew, but will not try to find this later.

brown colour, huge brownish head; aroma of roasted sugar fruits and yeast; taste of caramel, bread, and some spicy bitterness.

+/- Geel, rood, schuim is erg snel weg. Ziet meer uit als schuim van een cola.
+ apparte geur, je ruikt de roggen die een apparte geur hebben.
+/- De smaak komt overeen met de geur. Helaas is de smaak een beetje waterig in vergelijking met de intense geur. Zit naar mijn smaak ook iets teveel coolzuur in dit biertje, dit is jammer want dit is ook een smaak doder.
1ste smaak - ligt bitter, 2de smaak - coolzuur, 3de smaak - ligt roggen, 4de smaak - iets sterkere bitter.
Uiteindelijk vind ik het jammer van de smaak en vooral de coolzuur. Die maakt dit biertje helaas een beetje kapot.

Es gibt noch Überraschungen! Die Zutaten sind bis auf das Roggenmalz mit dem eines Weissbieres identisch. Und so sieht es auch aus: Dunkelbraun mit rötlichem Stich, irgendwie faszinierend! Der Geruch ist fruchtig-bananig, aber da ist noch was...der Antrunk erinnert an ein dunkles Hefe-Weissbier, aber der Abgang ist unendlich laaaaaaaaaaaaang!! Die Malzigkeit kommt hier durch den Roggen deutlich herber rüber. Kaum zu glauben, muss gleich den nächsten tiefen Schluck einsaugen, der wiederum wie ein dunkles Hefe-Weissbier beginnt um dann in diesen herb-malzigen und zugleich hopfigen Abgang überzugehen. Toll, die Süffigkeit ist unendlich...

Bottle shared with McTapps. Not a bad one but due to it´s yeast bombardment from first to last this one sometimes hurts. Still a quality beer but very one sided. And that crazy aroma is definitely for everbody a joy.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Dark brown colour with steady head. Taste of pure baking soda, yeast and dark grains. Very spicy. Ain’t not easy to drink but it is nice though.
