mirjukka (316), LOHJA, Finland Apr 27, 2008 bottle 500ml at Angleterre Helsinki during Wheat Beer weeks
Color:hazy light brown
Scent: fresh, phenols, spices
Taste: nice banana and spices. I haven’t tasted dark wheat beers lately since I visited Bamberg spring 2006. So this was nice reminder again.
raymondwave (778), Finland Apr 20, 2008 Bottle 0.5 l at Rotterdam, Helsinki. Darker brown, cloudy, firm head. Nose has yeast, roastiness, wheat. Flavor is slightly roasted, wheaty, a bit on the sour side and nicely bitter. A bit harsh carb. Ok dunkelweizen, but nothing remarkable. FatPhil (2062), Espoo, Finland Apr 19, 2008 500ml bottle (Poseidon, Helsinki, Wheat Beer Weeks 2008)
Murky brown, large brief head. Sweet wheaty and grainy aroma, some caramel. Lively in the mouth, softens after a good swirl. Slight banana taste, and refreshing light grains. Some hops too. Tasty, but not exceptional. TBone (4924), Pori, Finland Apr 18, 2008 Bottled (BB 03/2009, Angleterre Wheat beer weeks)
Dark nut brown color, good off-white head. Barnyardish and chocolaty wheaty nose. Light palate. Caramel, malts, some iron, some hops and wheaty banana notes in the flavor. Ordinary below average dunkelweizen.
