Hazy orange color, nice cloudy white head, some lace. Bubblegum and banana in the nose. Grainy, bubblegummy, dry hefeweizen. Very papery-dry aftertaste with some banana. Below average.
Dedollewaitor (1825), Odense, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 50cl bottle @ rasthof, Munchen. Pours hazy golden with a lasting white head. Banana, yeast, wheat & citrus. Smooth with a lively carbonation. Lots of wheat. Coriander notes. Pleasant! DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia Jun 18, 2008 Bottle back home. Especially peppery banana nose, simple but drool-making. Pale but densely cloudy and heaped like a witbier. Milky, spicy banana, lemon and vanilla, quite a hearty dosing of pepper. Finishes with just enough dryness. Unfussy, quality weiss. If you like it, you just do. FatPhil (1965), Espoo, Finland May 18, 2008 500ml bottle (Poseidon, Helsinki)
Cloudy orange, healthy tight head. Lively carbonation, almost fizzy. Solid hefeweizen aroma - a bit sweet, some banana, plenty of orange. Sweet caramelly taste, good solid to-style hefe. MiP (4805), Flensburg, Germany May 12, 2008 Bottle, 5.3%. Weak spicy aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. OK flavour. Spicy and sweet flavour. Below average. sayravai (3000), Helsinki, Finland May 4, 2008 (Bottled) Opaque orange with a smallish, white and fluffy head. Strong and fresh banana-estery aroma with some wheat sourness. Banana-orange-fruity flavor lacks complexity, and feels a bit watery. Light to medium-bodied, slightly thin and somewhat fizzy mouthfeel. A basic, banana-oragey weizen. Nothing special, but goes down well on a terrace.
