3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright, clear amber in colour. Bit of lacing, not much head. Brisk, hoppy aroma. Tangerine, tropical notes. Taste is slightly bitter, with lots of fruitiness. Palate is light to medium. Quite crisp overall and leaves the mouth dry. Lots of interest in here despite the relatively low alcohol content.

330ml can: BBD 26th Feb 16, poured into a Chimay chalice at home on 19th Jun 15. Really liked it. Amber to copper body with a full white crown from a vigorous pour. Hops front and centre, malts giving a heavy backbone: fruity, bitter and tasty. Not as bitter or hop forward as a lot of the US West Coast big hitters but a very good beer in a similar style.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
promising nose of tangerine, tangerine peel, pineapple and lime, when warming also some pine aromas, some light caramel and even some oaky hints; therefore the fizzy, foamy consistency is a bit of a let-down, and "an intense hit of hops American IPA" is not this very subtle, almost faint reappearance of the nosing aromas in taste; on the other hand, all of them are really there and the finish ist quite pleasant, with a fine grapefruity bitterness and a light sourish touch.
