3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml Bottle from The Bishops’ Mill (JDW), Durham, £2.99.
Pours dark ruby-brown with a thin and diminishing, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is pleasant and has lots of sweet berries and perfumed tropical fruit. Similar fruity sweetness fronts up the taste but the finish is a good, long, dry counterpoint with just a hint of a crisp, woody flavour and a slight sugary aftertaste. What do you call this style? Brown IPA? Decent.
