Fairly good bitter, I drank this one after the wainwright, I found this one to have a slight more robust and rounded flavour, possibly due to a stronger strenghth

Pours clear amber with small beige head. Caramel and sweet malts aroma. Crispy sweet, acidy and hoppy flavor with notes of orange. Acidy bittersweet on palate. Finishes with great longlasting bitter-tart hoppy but also sweet aftertaste.

Bottle. Well balanced on the nose, with a piney hop and caramel, toffee and fruity malt. Thin off white head, quickly disappears. Hazy amber appearance. Light to medium bitterness. Medium bodied, slight oily texture, some carbonation. Satisfying dry, bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Deep gold/pale amber body, good clarity, sturdy white head. Nice aroma; sweet biscuity malt, orange citrus hop, quite pungent and zesty with underlying spice and dried fruits. Full body, nice chewy malt texture, moderate carbonation. Sweet malts fill the mouth, good citrus fruit flavours, more hints of dried apricot and sultana in the background. Lingering finish, slight phenolic spice and relatively high balancing bitterness. Well made and tasty bitter. Plenty of flavour and balance to entice.

From botle. Pours a medium, mostly clear amber with slight off-white head. Definite nose of fruits, honey and caramel malt. Very well done brew, well balanced with hops and malt presence, but neither overbearing. Lacing throughout. A very enjoyable beer with medium body. Not too sweet, not too fruity, not too dry - Just perfectly bitter for my taste. Very surprised at the great taste since this is from bottle and not cask. CHEERS to Thwaites!

Clear orangey golden body with short white head. Some lacing. Sweet malt and grapefruit in the taste, body is a little thin, easily drinkable just not too appealing.
