3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, pours a light copper color with a beige head. Slight sweetness and light hops. Light flavor a touch sour, some hops some bitter malts. I was actually surprised by the complexity, a nice range of flavors at first I was put off by the lemon notes but then found it to be nice and a complement to the beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle from a petrol station somewhere between Newton Poppleford and Exeter (Devonshire). Clear copper colour, mid-sized beige head. Malty-hoppy nose with a touch of citrus fruit. Full-bodied, intensive malty flavours with hints of roasetd malts and caramel. Lovely lemony hops on to, with hints of bitter orange and English orange marmalade. Delicious.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2009 (Bottle from Morrisons, Diss) Copper colour with a large fluffy head. Smells faintly of hops with a bit of malt. Taste of sharp hops mixed well with a biscuit bread malt base. A hint of orange which mixes well with the bitter after taste. Good, a fairly heavy but interesting ale, with alcohol becoming more prevalant as I drink.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[1729-20080928] 500mL bottle. Mild toasted grains aroma with not much else. Clear, amber orange body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Green leafy hops flavour has some grains and a bit of sweaty wood. Medium body. Not bad, has lots of hops taste without the bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Morrisons. A nicely balanced and fairly robust ale with a nice apple tang from the Bramling Cross hops. Some fizz, but not too aggressive, and the barley sugar taste of the pasteurising is not as noticeable as in some other bottled English ales. An OK drink. Buttery and fairly pleasant.

Bottle from Tesco. Clear copper in colour with a white head that quickly subsides. Perfume hop aroma. Good balance of malt and hops on the tongue and a bitter finish. Not a bad effort but nothing exciting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very good hops nose –bit like USA hops, as well as some caramel. Nice hops in the taste, but this time clearly UK hops. Clear, crisp palate, the bitterness not fading away. Very nice golden bitter.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, Morrisons, West Kirby. Dark amber with a thin dissipating head. Aroma was caramel and hops with a similar theme continuing into the flavour with some light fruit and a dose of maltiness getting invoived too. All quite inoffensive and drinkable.
