COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled only; Pasteurised.
NOTE: The cask version has a seperate listing.
Refreshing amber ale, brewed with four hop varieties for superb taste and aroma.
When Daniel Thwaites was embarking on his brewing career, the ’Indus’ would have been voyaging to the East Indies = trading Lancashire cotton for exotic Eastern delights. Our Indus Pale Ale celebrates ales of that period with a refreshing brew enriched with abundant hops for flavour that stays fresh and crisp to the finish.

500 ml bottle. Strong yeast smell and some grains has well. Deep golden color with white head. Soft ipa taste with pronounced hops. Astringent ending with lots of fruit taste in the end. Actually i don’t agree with most reviews on this one. For me this is a very fine IPA. could have done more work on the smell and the general balance of the beer, but its a sure shot.

Brings back happy but vague memories of the hoppy home-brew my dad made in the 70s - malty and earthy bitter, though now with orange on the nose and toasty marmalade on the palate. Good stuff.

50 cl bottle from Meny supermarket. Pours golden copper with a small white head. Caramel and floral hints. Bitter taste. Why call it IPA when it is a bitter? Like it anyways.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber orange with a nice fluffy head. Nose - stewed apple. Light bread. Apple tart then. Taste - more apple tart. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long tangy finish. Overall - yep enjoyable.

Bottle. Light copper. Quite mellow nose with very english light floral, herby, hops in a light caramelly pale malty setting. Dry lightish, but with some chewyness. Sort of butterscotchy malts really. And citrus hops. Not that bad after all. It is a bit murky, and isn’t the intensest of drinks, but I’m finding enjoyment in it.

Ikke noe ipa, men grei litt syrlig smak. Klar gyllen farge. Absolutt ikke bitter.! Kort ettersmak.
