2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma: Metal, earth and grain.
Appearance: Clear copper body with a thin off-white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing.
Taste: Muted grapefruit and herbal notes, but thereís a metallic taste that ended up getting in the way of any other flavours that were trying to come through. Bitter finish.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Lively carbonation.
Overall: A bit thin and dull, with an off-putting metallic taste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Zesty citrus notes in the nose that follow well into the flavour. Pours a honey pale gold with a fluffy head. Lingering citrus on the palate and a long dry finish make this an excellent session pale.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nose is some hop sack, sweet malts, slight hint of white peach.
Taste is classic English hops, light bitterness, slight citrus. There is a slight medicine finish which fades quickly.
Itís a very ordinary beer. I canít recall it as soon as itís left my pallet.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
0.5l bottle. This is a crystal clear golden one with a small quickly sidesticking and light lacing white top. Low aroma, some light burned and floral caramel with traces of soap and something slightly herbal. Mild and non-extreme. The taste is also mild, blend and definitely English styled. More of a bitter if you ask me with soft traces of caramel and un-ripe zest. It has a decent bitterness, but itís kinda boring-bitter. Dare I say British-bitter? All in all, drinkable with some flavor, but dull and I would definitely not call this to invigorating. 19.01.2013

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Asda Carlisle, Deep golden in colour, thin, almost non-existent, white head. Nose is dominated by sweet malt with some hints of citrus fruit away in the background. Malt is to the fore again flavourwise, the bitter hops are there in the background again, and are quite harsh, verging on unpleasant! Not the best Iíve tried from Thwaites, and not one Iíd buy again!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle @ home. I think Iím a budding "hop-head", so I liked this beer. Pours clear, amber. Nothing exceptional but a good IPA - plenty of hop character.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear golden pour with a big foamy white head, medium lasting with nice lacing. Nice English hop bitterness, straw, grain and some grass in the aroma. Quite grassy and dry in the flavour, again with a good dose of bitterness from the hops. No perceptible sweetness. Medium bodied, carbonation is somewhere between soft and slightly lively, settles as you drink it. Rising bitterness in the finish, with tends toward the astringent.
