"This rich amber beer is brewed with only the finest English ingredients. A prominent hop aroma and bitterness throughout is finely balanced with a full malt flavour, leading to a dry bitter finish."

Bottle 500 ml at home, into a bug tulip, ABV 4.4% Amber in colour with a clear body. Tall and froathy off-white head, with average retention, minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma of malts, caramel with nice fruity notes. Taste is quite malty, again caramel, some metal, some red fruit notes. Mildly bitter with the bitterness having a short duration. Medium body, okay carbonation, mildly dry palate. Overall okay, nothing too special.

Low-medium body and carbonation. Slightly creamy texture. Overall pretty good. Easy drinking with a great texture and a well-rounded flavour.

Good beer. Got it from a near by super markt. Expectations were not that high. But yes, solid English bitter, nothing mind blowing, nothing dissapointing...

GBZ59 (1181) - BARCELONA (Catalonia), SPAIN - APR 29, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2014 Botella de 500ml. Vaso Shaker. Shaker glass. Intense caramelized hues as cap is removed. Pours orangish amber in color with chill haze appearance, discrete off-white crown & some left lacing. Floral, caramel, mild toasted & very subtle fudge chocolate aromas. Gentle herbal, sweet malty & slight earthy at first sip. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Oily to watery texture. Low bitterness, hints of chocolate an acidic notes in the middle rounded by tea-like hints & subtle wood. Dry bitter finish. Slightly dried aftertaste. Nice, gentle drinkable & delicious session beer.

Brown bitter. Rich, malty, peppery, good stuff. I thought I’d dislike it but, no.

Mild fruity sweetness with an equal balance of bitterness leading to s relatively short finish. Mouth is quite thin and watery with average carbonation. Easy drinking but not much character.

spartakbarnsley (38) - St Petersburg, RUSSIA - MAR 23, 2014
0.5 bottle from Pulkovsky Universam, St Petersburg. Classic, old skool bitter - slightly malty, with a very bitter finish. Drank this straight from the fridge, maybe it demands a re-rate at a later date. But this is definitely the sort of beer that I would prefer on tap. Memories of drinking in Barnsley before matches, when Oakwell had a proper atmosphere, and football was a proper sport.
