2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very average ale. But the tall boy pour perfectly into a tulip glass creating one of the more attractive beers I’ve had recently. Unfortunately testbeds are located in the mouth, not the eyes, and this beer failed to deliver in the latter.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma very pleasant, nice and hoppy, almost peppery in its hoppyness, with hints of caramel, nice amber colour. Lovely bitter taste with the caramel coming through along with biscuits. A good strong flavour and a very pleasing bitter aftertaste, though certainly not a session drink. Great drink for those who like bold hoppy beers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - good shape and label, these are often overlooked but are definitely part of the quaffing experience. Would have liked a picture of the mighty Avro Lancaster the beer is a tribute to but a minor quibble.
Beer - good dark amber colour, not too light or heavy, balance good. Bitter notes, a nice rounded bitter. Good with nuts, sandwiches.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle. Strong bitter smell, hops involved strongly. Dark amber color with a small white head. Better taste than other Thawites that I have tried. Strong, deep and balanced, the same for the palate sensation. Great beer for bombing germans :P
