COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Surprisingly refreshing for a full-flavoured dark porter with subtle notes of smokiness and liquorice. A taste of the past, inspired by a time when the elite would gather in Elizabethan taverns, to sample the finest ales, porters and wines.

Bottle 50 cl. Black with brown small frothy head. Notes of roasted, salty liqurice, soapy. Ok taste but the thin soapy body is offputting. Not that good of a porter overall.

50cl bottle, Prisma Jumbo, Vantaa. Near black in color, thin bubbly light brown head. Milky sweetness in aroma at first, burnt sugar and bread. Not very inviting... Flavor has roasted malt, that same burnt sugary notes, caramel and loaf. Sweet long finish. Thin bodied. Fail.

Dark brown clear pour appearing almost black in glass, frothy light brown head about one finger and medium long. Subtle aroma has bit ash, slightly roasted malt, licorice, quite delicate and tempting. Medium body, soft round feel, nice malting, bit caramel, chocolate, ash, flavors linger in mouth and I want them to stay semisweet. Tasty, good palate, enjojyed.

500 ml bottle. Deep dark brown colour, foamy tan head. Sweetish aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. The flavour is roasted malty, with coholate and berries, some sour/ashy notes. Dryish roasted finish. Not bad at all.

Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light roasted malt and licorice, faint hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light roasted - faint burnt malt, light salty licorice, faint hoppyness. Sweetish porter with licorice and notes of barnyard in the aroma. Could use more bitterness.
