COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Surprisingly refreshing for a full-flavoured dark porter with subtle notes of smokiness and liquorice. A taste of the past, inspired by a time when the elite would gather in Elizabethan taverns, to sample the finest ales, porters and wines.

Ok, everything you expect in a porter is here. Boxes ticked. However it’s all a bit lightweight. Dark, with hints of smokeyness. Chocolate and coffee from the malt and fruits from the hops. But all very thin. Unexciting.

large creamy light brown head. excellent lacing. mostly diminishing. flat thick black body. aroma: moderate burnt malt, mild coffee and olive. if: light sweet acidic and bitter. ff: light sweet moderate acidic light bitter and acetic (vinegar); long duration. palate: light medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, metallic light astringent finish. Lembra espuma de coca. Leve acidez/lembrança de azedume surge como grave defeito no estilo. Dulçor maltado e com presença de café. Vencimento para outubro. Na segunda metade, sabor fica azedo com background de café.3 s

Bottled (From K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some mild smoke and a bit buttery notes along with some chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, mild roasted malt and some slight smoky and ashy notes. A bit wooden and slightly tart edge to it Smooth porter, but a bit thin as for the palate.

TET (1616) - FINLAND - JUN 6, 2014
A colablack beer with a dense, creamy, quite big and beige head. The nose is balanced. Dark chocolate, liquirice and roastiness, hint of coffee. Taste is quite dry and roasted, some sourness and salt, coffee in the end. Quite light to drink but it’s not bothering too much. Aroma is good but then the taste is slightly too thin and simple. Anyway, good beer.

Turussa, kotona. Decent roasted porter. The end of the bottle turned out to be a bit watery, anyway this was enjoyable.

Bottled. Pours black in color with a tan head. Milk chocolate and fudge in aroma with hints of roasted coffee as well. Roasted malts, minerals and salty licorice in taste, perhaps even some notes of burnt wood or smokyness is present in there. Overall a quite nice brew with a dry and bitter, just slightly burnt chocolatey finish.

A bit odd aroma with strong buttery tones and some toffee. Flavour has butter, some toffee, distant ashy notes and some licorice. Too much butter here.

Bottle 500ml (K-Supermarket Manhattan, BB 10/2014)
Dark brown color, steady creamy beige head. Aroma is a bit strange ... barnyard? Tartness? Is this infected? Light-bodied. Sour, light coffee and toastyness. Very seldom I’ve had infected beer from established English brewery. To be rerated.
