Cask at Briar Rose, Birmingham
Golden color, creamy head. Light and fresh aroma, a bit fruity. Mild malt flavor, with a light toffee and biscuits touch; it has a correct bitterness with a delicate citrusy touch, lemon and bergamot; the final is balanced, with a light pungent trait.

Cask at Penderel’s Oak, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam head. Lovely orange citrus nose with soft, doughy biscuits. Medium sweet flavor with pale and doughy malts, and really nice, fresh orange and other citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate bitterness in the finish, with faintly dry straw, white sugar, biscuity malts, and sweet, juicy citrus. Excellent golden ale. Sometimes Spoonies gets it right.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask - Wetherspoons, Victoria station, London. Poured with a clear golden amber body beneath a loose & bubbly, fading white head. Pretty standard golden ale characteristics all told. Some fruity hoppiness, pale malt sweetness & a grassy bitterness at the back. Light to medium body, soft mouthfeel with a light spritz & finished with a lingering, medium intensity bitterness. Solid but standard.
