Dark gold in color, almost orange-ish. Smell of honey and faintly lemon. Has a clean taste that has not much flavor but rather leaves an aftertaste that sort of mirrors the aroma. Strange in tht I feel like I just took a gulp of lemon water...... No flavor other that water with lemon and honey in it and even that is slight.

550 ml - Pours a light dark golden color with little head. Very nice sessionable beer with honey, grass, citrus and light caramel on the nose. Good balance, leaning to the light side - yet quite tasty. I could drink several and come back for more - nice offering. A "golden" beer with taste!

500 ml bottle. Finland.
Deep golden colour with small white head. Floral/fruity bitter hoppiness and nuts in aroma. Flavour is also floral bitter hoppiness. Dry and well carbonated.

500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
Deep amber, persistent foamy head. Clean honey aroma, a touch floral and blossomy, but with a simply gentle huskiness at the end. Pleasant carbonation. Taste initially follows the aroma, mostly honey atop a light grain base with some subtle huskiness. However, something more interesting creeps in quite soon - there’s an incredibly fresh sticky buddy green hop in the finish. Very noble, and almost a touch pungent.

(pasteurised bottle.)This is a Golden ale not a ’Bitter’ as listed on the site, someone change that wrongness. Nice golden brew. Subtle ass STUFF. Malty and toffee’ish. Floral spicy hops are kinda earthy but ok. Simple , eazy , Golden ale.

Golden-amber color, small white head. Sweet honeyish, a bit resiny and nutty nose. Flavor is quite similar. Woody bitterness dominates, then also some pineapple-honeyish notes and nuttyness. Active carbonation. Quite typical English pasteurised ale, some similarities to Fullers products.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2009 [500ml bottle shared with Dad on 15/8/2009 - cheers!] Amber-bronze, moderate off-white head. Slight to moderate fizz actually works surprisingly well. Deep, rich earth and malt flavour with a good bitter finish. Immensely satisfying, the sort of beer you can quickly sink a pint of after a hard days work. For a pasturised beer, this is surprisingly similar (apart from the stronger carbonation) to the cask version. [re-rate 25/12/2009 - gift from Maureen & Dave - cheers!] Rather too fizzy, decent malt, citric bitterness. Not as good as I remember, but a good quaffing ale and better than you’d expect for a pasteurised bitter.
