2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. A clear, pale golden beer with good carbonation and a dense, small, white head. The aroma is rather boring, and borderline unpleasant, with corn like maltyness. Luckily some fruityness too. More like canned fruits than fresh fruits. Melon, apples, pear and peach. The flavor is equally boring, but not as corn-like as the aroma, itís more on the fruityness. The faintest touch of bitterness chimes in, and thereís also a touch of bitterness in the end. Medium to thin on the palate, with pleasant carbonation. Nice mouthfeel actually, but thatís also the best part of the beer. Overall, a decent beer, sort of, but I know quite a few Asian pale lagers Iíd rather have. 120604

I had a can of this on an Air China flight from Sydney to Beijing. Was a welcome relief from the boredom of flying but didnít taste much of anything, a bit of a malt taste but mostly water.

Aroma: earthy hop
Palate: light, thin body
Flavor: bland and tasteless, finishes like tonic water.
Comment: I liked the earthy aroma but all the other characteristics are below average.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A bottle from Liquor Mountain as it was on sale at just 100 yen! The color is an exceptionally pale corn yellow, the smell when I opened it at first reminded me of Grolsch but it quickly dissipated leaving behind a weak pale lager. It is just 3.5 % ABV with a grass/hay like flavor and taste. I couldnít taste any hops really. It just seems like a mildly alcoholic barley/corn tea like mugicha. It isnít bad per se but not really so beer like. It might be nice on a hot summer day ice cold when you donít want something so strong.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
355ml can. Gift, brought from China. Bread malt, week floral hops, some yeast. Pale greenish-yellow, hazy with frothy head, that goes in 20 seconds. Light bitterness from hops, a bit umami, rather dry brew. Light body, thin watery texture, flat carbonation, oily finish. It is interesting to try beers from various regions, and now I can proudly say, that I had beer from Tibet. It reminded me one of A Le Coq beers, and actually it was quite similar to old A. Le Coq Dry Ice. Obviously, beer is not the strongest side of Tibet.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from local Liquor Mountain. Heavy grass, moldy hay aromas. Verrry pale straw color. Cardboard initial; mid palate has a bit of fizzy sweetness; final has almost nothing at all. Thin-thin body. Maybe made with extract? Really unexciting stuff. Not vile or anything like that -- but very close to beer-flavored water.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Can in Hohhot. Pretty much like carbonated water dyed pale yellow. Very small hint of of caramel malt, but almost tasteless. At least I can imagine the water coming from lush Himalayan mountain ravines...

Can. Small head with short duration. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are malt and hops. Thin bodied and medium carbonation. Still glad I tried this beer since it was a new country tick.
