2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Strykzone (2906) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2011
From a trade with Hayduke with whom I, and his brother Rick, sampled via Facebook chat. This beer poured a dirty, hazy golden with a funky looking off white head. The nose was almost all Saaz. That is not a favored hop with me and it always dominates the aroma for me and gives a skunk odor. Again, my opinion. The Saaz was also tasted and was a negative. West coast hops would have served this beer much better. There was some nice Belgian yeast, fruit, and sugar. The finish was lemonish sour. Without the Saaz this would have been very nice. Unfortunately it was not "without."
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - MAR 31, 2011
Shared tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. This poured a hazy gold with a foamy off-white head. Mild nose of fruit and grassy Saaz hops. Medium body with light carbonated mouthfeel. Flavor is light malt, with a light citrus fruit providing some bitterness.. The finish is bitter. Not fancy but drinkable.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DarkElf (2938) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 19, 2011
18-Feb-11 (22-oz bottle: Purchased 12-Jan-11 for $2.99 from BevMo in Solana Beach, CA) This is a somewhat pleasant blonde ale that in some respects is better than expected, although honestly, my expectations were pretty low. First off, the beer isn’t the least bit sweet; the malts are dry and surprisingly toasty in flavor with even a hint of smoke in the finish. Also, there is a modest hop character in the background, vaguely grassy I suppose, with very light bitterness. Hops are light, but they are there, which is more than I can say for many blonde/golden ales. On the down side, the malts are also a bit husky, and there is a mild cardboard flavor in the finish. The nose is honey sweet, fairly cardboardy, grainy, husky, and slightly haylike. Light-medium in body with average carbonation and a dry, slightly grippy mouthfeel from grain husks. Hazy, golden-orange in color, and the whitish head pours to a quarter inch before settling to a patchy film and wide ring. Overall, some positives and some negatives average out to a rather mediocre beer.

Bomber. Pours clear light gold with a one finger white head. The nose is malt, honey and grain. The taste is pretty much the same with some very faint hops in the finish. Meh.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Barreras (368) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
Pours a golden yellow color with aroma of corn. Taste of sweetness and mild sourness. A little lacking but overall an okay blonde.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bnoel09 (218) - Elk Grove, California, USA - JAN 14, 2011
Poured into a pint glass. Pale golden/straw color with a slightly cloudy appearance and a thin white head that lingers. Aroma is bread like with yeast and some sweet notes as well. Flavor is similar to the aroma with all malt and no hops. As the description says it is very lager like. This would probably be an excellent refreshment on a hot summer day, but doesn’t offer much in the way of flavor or complexity.
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thirdeye11 (3911) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 30, 2010
(22oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) pale yellow with no bubbles. Nose of honey, fresh milled grain, slightly herbal. Smells just like fresh honey bread. Taste of light earth, honey, bread, prickly carbonation, light-to-medium body. Wish it tasted like it smelled.
