COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our sweetest cider blended with enough acid to balance out the residual sugar, making it a very versatile cider for food pairings.Hints of melon and vanilla with a long finish.

500ml bottle. Sweet and slightly rotten cider, just too sweet for my tastes.

$7.99 for the 500 mL bottle purchased from Bevmo (Temecula) yesterday evening. Pours a fluorescent caramel yellow; thin, bubbly off-white ringed head settled up top. Aromas of melanoidin, white sage, bosc pears, fried bananas, wine lees, peach syrup, and Meyer lemons. Tastes the same with the addition of cashews, honey, vanillin, apple juice, and turbinado sugar. Acidic, semi-sticky, and sweet. Not bad.

Bottle from BevMo in Folsom, CA. Pours brassy gold. Nice, slightly sweetish, apple aroma. Near med body. It’s sweet, but also slightly tart. Somewhat mouth puckering/astringent. Not sure about melon, but it is demonstrating fruit notes. Exceptionally drinkable for a non-farmhouse cider.

light sweet smells. light in color with a pearl-essence of red. taste is light and sweet definitely a light vanilla in there. Its light and refreshing yet it lack carbination that could add to the feel. Its light and nice the dryness just balances out the sweetness.

Bottle. Pours with a very pale hued body with a white head that fades to a ring. The ring lasts, reinforced by the carbonation rising up the sides of the glass. Some legs. Aromas are sweet and a bit sharp. Prunes, sweet, sharp esters. Medium sulfur, strong esters: notably isoamyl acetate. Grassy, lightly leather. Pear like, salt brine, pickling liquid. Some sort of vanilla or vanillin. Slightly sake like in its fruit and almost light umami presence. Flavors are sweet, not very balanced by acid or tannin. Sulfur. Dry apple. Kind of characterless. Sugary. Lacks complexity. It either need a lot more acid or a lot more tannin to balance the sweetness. There really is not a lot here. Clean, but not really good.

Brilliant light golden color/ fleeting white head. Nice tree ripened apple, earthy aromas. Light to medium bodied. with soft co2. Sweet floral blossom, ripe golden apple flavors-crisp finish--good

750mL Bottle poured at CiderDays 2010. This has a strong big sweet floral aroma. Lower carbonation on a higher sweetness makes for a tougher drink to get through. I thought the overall sugar profile was then bland, which made this one less enjoyable as compared to the other examples from this Cider Works that I had.

750, capped. Pours a brilliantly clear pale gold. Nice sparkling effect under the light, but it’s all down to color--the cider is totally still. No head, lace, or legs. Nice floral aroma. A brief investigation of the label suggests that this is honeysuckle. Still very much an apple quality to it but there’s a floral quality to the aromatics for sure. Creamy still medium body. Fresh bursting red apple juice mid-palate. A subtle brightness, almost like a dry white wine with some boldness to it, carries out the finish. Incredibly refreshing; kind of funny to read that this is their sweetest cider. Not sure about the melon and vanilla but I’ll take their word for it.

750ml capped. Pours a clear very light yellow with little to no head, just some larger bubbles and plenty of visible carbonation in the glass post pour. Nose is very much crisp with light apple, pear, honeydew, a floral honey sweetness and a light underlying tartness. The apples are very subdued in flavor to allow hints of pear and the honeydew to shine through in the flavor as well. Light sweet white grape with a smooth balanced honey sweetness that shows light acid toward the end with hints of dryness. Very light and clean on the finish and is going nice with this assortment of cheeses.
