2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear, yellow appearance, fast fading head, no lacing. Sweet, malty, vegatal aroma. Crisp, fairly clean (as long as it stays chilled) taste with a miniscule hop presence. Light bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel leading to a short lived, boring finish.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle at Indonesian restaurant in Oakland area. Pours yellow and clear with a small white head. Aroma is quite sweet and adjuncty with hints of floral hops. Flavor doesn’t deviate much from the expectations of the aroma, lightly sweet with a bit of corn, mild soap and mild hop bite in the finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Served as a nice counter point to my Malaysian barbequed lamb chops, but ultimately is nothing more than yet another mediocre, fizzy, yellow lager.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Found this bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Straw yellow, bubbly and clear, with a tall foamy white head that dissippated slowly into a film. Nose of canned corn, slightly sweet and cereal-y. A tad on the dry side, but with a thicker mouthfeel than most Asian lagers I’ve had, similar to an American wheat. Finishes clean and dry. A good example of an overwrought style.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
From a 640 ml. Tiger embossed, gold foiled wrapped neck, brown bottle with a coded freshness date on the bottom of back label.
Poured a pale lager golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing.
Aromas of grain husk, cereal malts and a bit herbal.
Good carbonation and a crisp, dry, smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
Not bad, but ho hum tasting, sweet cereal malts with a little huskiness, a soft herbal, grassy hoppiness, a smooth bitterness, and dry sweet malty finish, pretty clean overall, decent, average macro lager drinkability.
Passable macro lager from Asia Pacific, was given to me to try today by the beer manager at a St. Louis liquor store I frequent when I’m in town.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear light yellow beverage with a small fizzy head that was entirely diminishing and left almost no lacing on the glass. The aroma had notes of wet wood, grains and no discernable hop character at all. The body was light with medium carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started off lightly bitter with a taste like old leather. The finish was medium in length and the bitterness grew a little more prominent through the finish. This is not a beer that I would care to partake of a second time.

Pours a pale, pale, pale yellow, no head. Aroma is corn. Flavor is corn. Not nasty, perhaps even refreshing, but entirely ineeded.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Clear golden colour with a weak head. Light aroma of hops and notes of malt. Malty flavour with a touch of hops. Very average for a pale lager.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is my 100th beer. An OK lager, or maybe I was lucky enough to get a decent 6-pack that didn’t rot enroute to the U.S. Hoppy scent, watery taste with faint malty taste and a dry, astringent finish. I love the bottle though. Among Southeast Asian lagers, Singha and Tiger will forever be behind my beloved San Miguel Beer...

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale amber with a huge, fluffy white head that eventually diminishes to a ring of foam. The aroma is slight, and slightly flowery. Has most of the major macro lager characteristics. Just a little bit astringent, but no other defects. It is what it is: a good example of a bland style of beer.
