Itís funny how some of the lowest rating beers in the world seem to win more awards than all other far superior ones, take Hahn Premium for example (shocker!) racing away with the AIBA award, each and every year itís presented. This is another of the conundrums questionably scooping up awards at festivals but failing miserably on RateBeer (where it seems to matter most). Now I know itís in poor spirits to attack a beer, but sometimes the lines need to be drawn. Tasted from the bottle and poured into a pilsner glass. Clear gold body with high carbonation shooting up to a short loose, bubbly white head. Aroma had an initial bite to it but lapsed into wafts of íDMSí vegeí water, egg yolks and freshly mowed grass. A little better in the mouth, cleaner and quite dry with a high amount of corn and plastic flavours coming through and a little grapefruit and cantaloupe. Highly carbonated, not bitingly, and very light bodied. Finishes off with a husky and gassy forgettable swallow. Quite a boring, one dimensional lager that has taken me years to try, and minutes to forget!!!

I canít say anything too offensive about this pale lager, because thereís simply not that much here. Pale yellow with pale sweet malt aroma and pale sweet malt flavor and yes, a pale watery finish, thereís nothing really bad about it. Except that itís too watered down and flavorless to be a real beer.

Pours a pale yellow with a frothy white head that quickly dissipates to nothing. Smells lightly grassy and a bit sour, astringent. Taste is grassy, watery and oddly sweet. Probably the corn I am tasting. Not much here at all and not very pleasant. Thin mouth. Not that drinkable. Will take the sting out of spicy Thai food. There I said something nice.

BuckNaked (1230) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 1, 2005
Bottle: Pale straw yellow, clear, with a tiny white head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma is mild at best, light malt and grain hints. Taste is slightly sweet grains up front, followed by mild cereal and light corn adjucts. Light bodied, watery, slightly overcarbonated. Pretty inoffensive, easy to drink.

White head on a yellow body. This beer is designed to quench the drinkerís thirst in a hot environment, and does not have any other ambition. As such, it is pretty effective, but it is certainly not a beer I would sit back and just enjoy. The taste is pretty unremarkable.

Bottle, at home. Yellow with white head, quickly gone. No lacings. Aroma of malt and light of hops. Flavor moderate of malt and hops. Light body, watery, soft carbonated. Does it have a taste???

surprisingly not a bad beer, i got this from a distribution place and it was a pretty flavorful tasting pale lager, much like a kiran, but with a littte more bite at the end this is an excellent beer if u want to try something different from singapore

Pours golden just like all of the other asian beers Iíve tried. Not much head. Disappears quickly. More malt on the flavor than other Asian beers but nothing to get excited about. Watery and carbonated on the palate. It was o.k. to drink after doing some carpentry work tonight to quench my thirst, but as I guessed nothing good about this one really.

From tap. Poured very light gold with about a finger of artificial looking head which disappeared pretty quick. Aroma - what aroma? My senses could have been a little attenuated as I was following the ABC Extra Stout, but all I could detect was a faint hint of vomit. Taste - what taste? Best that can be said is that it was not offensive. Someone has obviously beaten this tiger with a VERY large stick and turned it into a pussy cat. Palate was watery and weak. The ONE redeeming factor is that it goes down very easily in the tropical heat. This is nothing like the beer I remember 15 years ago.
