Wheat based Pale Ale that is fermented very clean with American Ale yeast giving it a crisp, refreshing finish. The trio of newcomer hops, Zythos, Motueka and Nelson Sauvains, provide an aroma and flavor of mango, tangerine and other soft citrus fruit and may cause a widespread panic... hint at the name’s origin!

From tap. Pours copper with small whit e head. For those who have tried Three Floyd's Gumballhead; this is very similar with a hit more malt and a lot more bitter finish. For those who have not; it tastes like an IPA with a little extra citrus and thickness from the wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber at home. Hazy amber - gold pour with a 1 inch head. Aroma of ripe mango, pink grapefruit, lemonade. Very fragrant. Prickly carbonation. Light bodied, fruity, leafy hop flavors, even a bit dank, but very restrained bitterness. Smells great, looks great, flavor is a little underwhelming.

Pour on tap, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of tropical fruit, some stone fruit into a bit of pine, grass, some herbal notes into a bit of biscuit, bread, hints of grain. Taste was a mix of orange, herbal, some pine, hints of nice mango, stone fruit, some pineapple into a bit of bread, finishing bitter. Nice.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is a light, damp, citrus peel, grapefruit, grass, and resin. It pours a clear yellow, fuzzy micro bubble, white head with a medium web lace. A medium thin ring with a light surface dusting remain. The taste is a medium bitter with a light sweetness. The waxy texture has a decent amount of small-bubble active, fizzy carbonation. The medium body finishes with a herb and wax, dry bitter resin finish. There’s a touch of a tropical note at the finish, but it’s light - more like bitter grapefruit membrane. The dry herb and waxy bitter remain in a moderate aftertaste.

Poured from the tap at First Draft in Chicago. Heavy golden with some strong lacing. Aroma and taste fall in line with a hop theme. Resin, hop, floral notes. Leaves the mouth pretty dry and the hop presence definitely lingers. It’s not in the upper echelon of pale ales but does meet the criteria of a session IPA. You can do worse than this one.

Pint pour at Bad Dog. Pale with a thin white head. Aroma is very heavy on pine, citrus, and floral- smells. Taste is pretty floral, light citrus, mild background hoppiness. The aroma supplants the flavor, but the aroma is fantastic.
