A Belgian Witbier brewed with pilsner malt, oats, bitter and sweet orange peel, coriander and chamomile flowers. This refreshing "white" beer is a perfect summer beer that starts out sweet and citrusy and finishes dry and crisp with a hint of tartness. The name is a tribute to the 1959 White Sox!

Pours a clean orangish gold with a fizzy white head. The nose and taste are as described above. For me all of the flavors were a bit too muted. The beer had potential, but I think they need to up the "spices" a bit to give it more bang.

Nice local wheaty whit beer. Bright golden color with good head. Smells a little fruity with a hint of spice. Full wheat flavor with a floral and coriander finish. Comes out in the late spring and gone before I can finish enjoying it.

Draft pour at route 45 bar. Yellow with white head. Sweet grassy light lemon aroma. Sweet grassy light lemon taste. Good for the style.

Sampled on tap at the brewery (Mundelein, IL). Pours a richer pale yellow straw well hazed hue. Some yellow edges, decent glow with a frothy whitish head atop that dies to a mellow film, laces ok. Aromas are dry bread, flaked wheat, kiss of coriander. Touches of lemon, straw, gentle bready grains. Dry, touches of lemon, with dryness, gentle spice. Initial is dry, mellow body with touches of grass and straw, dry grains and bread. Touch of dough, citrusy lemon, white pepper and coriander. Dry and lighter, the middle shows gentle carbonation, a touch more lemon rind, florals and earthy dryness, flaked wheat grains. Touches of lotion, yeast, and spice into the backend. Lingering bready malts, kisses of coriander linger, grass and straw, growing and lingering earthy hops. Interesting, different, a touch of orange peel here and there, but more bland bread, earthy hops, touches of lemon for me. A focus on spice into middle and backend. Ok.
