3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2014 On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is a citrus sweet and warm caramel blend. It pours a light yellow-orange, oily clear body topped by a soapy white head with a thick ring retained. The surface is covered by a generous island of foam and it leaves a good amount of web-like lace. It’s highly bitter with a light/medium-light sweetness. There’s lots of soft carbonation to go with a light oily texture. The medium full body finishes with sweet citrus, and a herb spice, along with a touch of caramel. There’s a light, lingering resin and citrus aftertaste.

Draught, pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a big creamy off white head that leaves rings of lacing down the glass. Wet piney hop aroma. Big floral sweet hop flavor and nice bitterness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is almost a "session" ale, as even though it is a true IPA, I found it very drinkable. It was not over wrought with hops, but yet the strong presence was there. It had a fuller flavor than some IPA's , and I drink many. Obvious malt characteristics, which I happen to like. Overall, one u intend to drink more of.

4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap flight at Haymarket. Full disclosure, I usually rate and then eat. This round came with my food. I’m eating a salad with spicy peanut dressing and think this beer will pair. Dark honey color with a foamy off white head. Hard to detect the aroma in this glass. It’s not hard to detect the flavor, though. Big, soapy, flowery hops! The head laces really well as I devour this delicious brew. There’s a good sweet malt back one that stands up to the hops. Very well crafted and a delight to drink. Hop bitterness infers in the mouth. Yum.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brewhaha. One of the better at the event. Pours a clear copper from the can with fluffy off-white head that dissipates to leave thin lace. Aroma of funky west coast hops, piney and resinous. Taste follows, but more mellow as you drink more and a drinkable balance. Good stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2013 Sampled at Fat Duck in Forest Park, IL. last week during the Tale of Two Parks pub crawl. Showed a clear, orange/amber, with off white, bubbly head foam, and nice, curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was light, but predominantly citrus, notably soft grapefruit, with some resin following up, light grain, a touch of sweetness, and smooth creaminess to the malt. A hefty hop bitterness was present in the flavor, expressing astringency that was nearly abrasive as it lingered past the finish. Still a decent, medium bodied IPA. Next time, on tap at Lunar Brewing Co.. Brighter color, more expressive nose, and the hop bitterness was earthy, rindy, and more even tempered. +.1
