Irie is a malty and complex India Pale Ale. Named for the Jamaican word “Irie” meaning “good, excellent, great or of good quality”, or "the state of feeling great, no worries", this beer is all of those and more. With an original gravity of about 1.070, the malt profile provides a sturdy backbone for the generous amount of Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus hops. American Ale yeast ferments this beer cleanly allowing the dank hop qualities to come through in all their glory… IRIE Mon!

bottle picked up at a local Peoria rip and run. right out of the bomber since my hotel room had dirty glassware. piney resin nose. taste has some mild toast and caramel washed over by bitterness. resin comes and lingers on the finish. medium body

Sampled at gabf. Not nearly as red as the pic. Simcoe jops are evident. That comlexity. Thistles works for me. Fruit and floral. Pretty nice.

Poured from the bomber, nice cloudy yellow orange with a few fingers of foam. Got the hops and the citrus and some bitter on the back end. The last time I was to Mundelein it was a strip mall community hiding very nice houses, guess they’re branching out.

650ml bottle from Binny’s in Chicago, Illinois. Cloudy orange in colour with a thin lasting white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of sweet grains, lots of malt, faint hops. The flavour is lightly bitter, moderate sweetness, light citrus hops, juicy, caramel malts. Finishes long with a building bitterness.

Really not to my liking at all. Thick yellow color. The aroma has its moments with some baby powder like floral notes but then in the flavor there is simply too much malt--vegetable and grass. Murky flavors. Not enjoyable. Bottle in Chicago.

Aroma is a complex mix of spices, citrus, bread/malts and pine. The flavor is fruit, citrus, malts, slight earthiness and a mix of bitter and slight heat in the finish.

Dark golden to amber in color. Tallest eggshell color head. Caramel and cereal scents along with orange zest, spruce and grass. Light sweet start. Light slightly zippy feel. Mild bitterness creeps and crescendos. Some citrus oils and pepper wander about. Warming in the stomach. Long linger of bitterness with some more orange oils.

Very hoppy taste. Pours a cloudy golden hue. Aroma has a citrus smell to it, possibly lemon or orange. No alcohol presences with this beer. A very well balanced IPA

Poured cloudy orange with a huge, quickly fading off white head. A nice piney, citrus aroma. Not as hoppy as most IPA’s, but a bit more malt forward. A nice brew from a local Illinois brewer.

Poured from a 22oz bottle from Kaser - thanks! Aroma - Orangy - some dankness...not too tropical Appearance - hazy golden pour with 2 fingers of fluffy head. Taste - I feel like I’ve had this taste before...nothing unique about it. Overall - good beer, not great. The ratings on this beer are accurate.
