Draught at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Hazy bronze colour, small head. Sugary nose. Sweet with medium-full body and soft mouthfeel. Fairly deep sweet malt, slight spicy hops. Mildly warming finish.

Nice and strong. Not so fine as doppelbocks from Germany but has character and nice foam too.

Bottle from Albertson’s. Lightly sweet grainy nose. Slick mouthfeel. Some grains and malts. A little alcohol. Drinkable, but fairly boring bock.

bytemesis (1407) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber with a large off-white orangish head that dissipates slowly and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, grain caramel, a bit of acidic citrus, and grass. Flavor is roasted malt, mildly sweet almost corn syrupy, citrus-acidic, with a mildly bitter grassy dry finish. Interesting brew.

TheJestersBeer (1665) - SWEDEN - JUN 18, 2012
355ml bottle. Pours a medium amber, with a beige head. Malty aroma, lots of toffee and dried fruits, chocolate, diacetyl, licorice. Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Malty taste, toffee, caramel, diacetyl, chocolate, faintly hoppy. Not too bad. (2012-06-11)

Pours a clear light amber brew with no head, medium intensity aroma with notes of caramel and citrus, medium bodied, medium carbonatation, the flavor has notes of caramel, yeast, alcohol and citrus, good balance; starts sweet, ends bittersweet.

Draft at Stone 14th Anniversary. Mexican doppelbock? Who choose that style? maybe. Sweet amber ale, some fruit, malt, candy sugar, not really that interesting.

Oakes (10935) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - MAY 15, 2008
Amber colour with no head. Chewy, caramelly nose. There’s some sulphur on the palate, and toastines, but no real balance. Relatively flat carbo, limited malty goodness hurts the beer.

On Tap Hamiltons. Not too sweet like many Doppelbocks can be. THe alcohol is a little bit more present then id think but very subtle. Smooth and crisp.
