COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tikka Gold a quality premium beer brewed with patience using malt, rice, hops, yeast and spring water. A Pilsner style with Indian character having a good balance of dryness and bouquet of hops and a soft malt character to complement spicy foods.

I’m worried and I haven’t even poured. The bottle appears to be a Belgian lager masquerading as an Indian lager. This does not portend of good things. Medium gold, nice head, utterly clear. Aroma of grain and hay. Flavor is of rough grains, a touch of honey sweetness, and a load of grassy hops. And something that isn’t quite right. Maybe it was the Indian flair they were going for. They should have stuck with all malts, and they could have had a much better beer. Having said that, in the vast world of crappy pale lagers, this really is on the high end of the scale.

Medium gold body with a white head. The aroma is corn, fresh carrots and some light soap. The taste has some sharp spicy celery with some black pepper. This is very strong with the spice. I am not sure if it supposed to be that strong. There is definitely hops inhere, but it comes across more like grass and popcorn than good hops. This left a lot of lacing on the glass. It needs just a little more malt to balance it out.

I like this beer. Very crisp. I suggest that anyone who enjoys a nice Pilsner to check this beer out. I agree with the posters who said that this is a beer that will go best with a nicely spicy meal - Indian food obviously springs too mind. On its own I can see the beer generating mixed feelings. Buy a bottle and try it out before committing more money.

Bottle: Light straw in color, very pale and clear in fact, thin white head, light carbonation.   Straw and grass on the nose, slight malt flavor but mainly grassy on the tongue.   Semi-sweet, not half bad for a Pale Lager.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Fairly clean finish, simple, remains mainly grassy.   Not too shabby.   Thanks mattbob for sharing!

500ml - (Secret Santa cousin Rich) Aroma is skunky and bland. Pours clear yellow with small head and some lacing. Flavor is bland, boring, skunky, and thin, but non-offensive. Palate is watery and non-existent. This is why I don’t drink pale lagers.

This beer poured a very light yellow color with a almost no head. Appearance ponts a sold 1 so far. It smells like corn, hay, and generic dish detergent. So far this is in the toilet. The flavor has a slight yeasty presence. The taste is quite dry with some lemons, whipped cream, creamed corn, and buttered popcorn. Well overall its not too bad. Nothing I would seek out though

foul rubber aroma. Pours a clear golden yellow, thin white head. Unsatisfying over-fermented vinegar taste. Leaves you wishing you could taste more rice.

Brew HaHa - Curry? What curry? I must have missed the secret spice, but what I did catch of this beer was good. Fruity nose and body presented in a lager style. Definitely an above average lager that I will seek out.

Bright, clear gold, with a sturdy, foamy head. Nice clean, grainy aroma, with a hint of understated sweetness. Clean and crisp, withnotes of pepper, grass and maybe mint, although may have been the result of the chapstick I had used earlier. Spritzy and fizzy to the end. Nicely bitter.

500ml bottle. Long lasting sticky film on a thin gold liquid. Off-putting compost aroma. Soft malt yes, but a very harsh finish. The hops really attack at the end. This may work better when drinking with spicy food but on its own the finish takes some getting used to.
