COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tikka Gold a quality premium beer brewed with patience using malt, rice, hops, yeast and spring water. A Pilsner style with Indian character having a good balance of dryness and bouquet of hops and a soft malt character to complement spicy foods.

Very sweet and sugary beer that had a bit of stickiness to it but not too much. Was a good palate cleanser for the Indian food I was eating.

Has the aroma and flavor of a bready/grassy pilsner style lager but a bit rough around the edges. Not bad really, Belgian pale lagers typically are no better than any other pale lagers because there made for the same reason, this was decent compared.

500 ml. Finally, there’s a "premium beer brewed with patience using malt, rice, hops, yeast and spring water"! Orange-peach color with a lasting sticky head. Nose is honey, lemon, light toast and flowery dry grass. Flavor is the same, but slightly less sweetness and more dry lemon grass. Light-medium body is sweet, watery and tingly, but has a crisp, slightly tart, grainy-hop finish that balances. A decent quality, Asian-style lager that does go well with spicy food, as advertised.

500 ml bottle. Golden colour, flocculating thin head. Mild grassy aroma, slightly bready maltiness, a hint of diacetyl. Dry finish with moderate bitterness and almost no taste. Soft texture, medium body.

500mL bottle poured straw color with average white head settling quickly to spotted lacing. Aromas of bread and hay and a hint of yeast. Taste is lightly sweet with an undesirable hoppy finish. Carbonation and body are decent. Overall, something to drink on a hot summer day, as it goes down pretty easy.

500ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with tons of carbonations bubbles and a large white, but not tightly-foamed head. The head has decent retention actually and leaves some decent lacing. The smell is ultra-mellow with mostly bready malt and a pinch of grassy, cirtusy hops. The taste is decently balanced for a pils, there is an overlying bitterness over the bready malt. The flavor seems to lean a bit towards the euro pale lager, but this is still a good light lager. THis brewery does much better for sure, but this isn’t bad. .5L bottle: Pouts a hazy tan with a thin sickly looking head (AKA this beer is not gold in color). It does not impress in the tall glass. Lacing is concentrated ins small quaff clusters on the opposite side of glass from consumption. Other than that it is sparse. Nose is moderatly weak, with wet grass. Body ion the whole is medium and fairly refreshing on a hot day. It does not stand out in any which way. Rice gets in the way.

Bottle. Soft pale malt nose with soft grassy hops, light mineral water character. Pours a pale golden with a soapy white head. Taste is bone dry and aggressive, lightly metallic and minerally, dirt, stones, grass, salt, significant hop bite though not the taste of hop oils. Medium body is a bit harsh with the carbonation, but dry and cleansing, a little softness behind it all. Just a touch of grain. I award an additional tenth [point] based on potential merit - this would be a nice change of pace with food, cleansing the palate, bringing a different texture; but it seems a bit off when all alone.

bottle from tops shared on 2/7/2010. pale straw honey colored with a small off white head. rough pils-ish grainy aroma mixes with honey comb, mud, a bit of nuttiness and dust. add some lemon and mineral/slate to the aroma to make up the flavor... it finishes with a harsh mineral note which lingers with grain in the aftertaste. the body is medium and crisp but somehow has a muddy/swampy mouth feel which really distracts me. 6/3/5/2/12/2.8

Poured a very pale yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet with some lemon. Some yeast as well, but a little skunky. Rice is noticeable. Taste is slightly bitter and grassy with some rice and yeast. Aftertaste is not great. Overall it is ok, but you let me down belgium!
