Pours bright gold with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of sweet pale malt, cookie, tart bread yeast, light herbs. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Somewhat dissapointing. I was expecting something really enjoyable but what I got was much, much less. I got a ton of corn in the nose with a soapyness that really unpleasing. The appearance was a nice clear, yellow color. The slight harshness of the beer was not enjoyable at all, and the flavor corn really didn’t sit right with me. A WELL below average Belgian lager. No thanks.

500 ml bottle. Fizzy, clear yellow with a white head. Very cereal nose, sweet corn, bready. Flavor is sweet grain, a bit of floral hop, and precious little else. This. Sucks. So Belians CAN make a shitty beer. Who knew? Swilly in a big, macro kinda way. Watery and weak.

Strong corn and malts aroma with a slight amount of caramel. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Mildly tangy taste in the beginning developing into more malt flavor in the finish.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one pours pale yellow gold with a 2 1/2 finger thick head. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus, yeast. Flavor weak, sweet malts, carbonated, slight bitter finish. Not great, but drinkable.

Very sweet and sugary beer that had a bit of stickiness to it but not too much. Was a good palate cleanser for the Indian food I was eating.

Straw color; faint golden color. Small head. A sweet aroma. A sour mash, bittersweet flavor. Hmm.... Fairly decent. Nothing to go out of your way for.

From a stubby 500 ml. euro brown bottle with a coded freshness date on the back label.
Poured a clear euro lager golden with a foamy, fluffy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, small amount of ringed sticking.
Aromas of cereal grains, yeast and a little grassiness.
Good, if slight fizzy, carbonation and a softly crisp, smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
Bland and boring taste, sweet neutral rice malts, cereal grains that have a slight metallic edge to them, a light spicy, grassy hoppiness and a dry rice and grassy finish.
I didn’t care too much for this lager, but I guess if want to cleanse your palate while eating hot and spicy Indian food, this would do the trick, but so would ice water with a slice of lemon in it. This cost me $4.50 at a Indian/curry restaurant on Delmar St. in U-City/St. Louis.

.5L bottle: Pouts a hazy tan with a thin sickly looking head (AKA this beer is not gold in color). It does not impress in the tall glass. Lacing is concentrated ins small quaff clusters on the opposite side of glass from consumption. Other than that it is sparse. Nose is moderatly weak, with wet grass. Body ion the whole is medium and fairly refreshing on a hot day. It does not stand out in any which way. Rice gets in the way.

Geez, the market for Indian restaurant beers must be booming if the Belgians are getting in on the act. Of course, the competition is pretty poor. In these parts, an Indian restaurant beer list usually consists of pseudo-Indo lagers produced by multinationals such as Kingfisher and Haywards 5000. So why not a Belgian, indeed. Hell, they’ve even added rice to the beer for authentic "Asian character". Tikka Gold is as yellow as the name implies and raised a thick half-inch of lacing, creamy foam. The aroma is light, chalky and fruity. In fact, it’s so faint that it’s a stretch to summon descriptors. Perhaps melon balls or peach sorbet with a whiff of rusty bucket. Nice wash of pale malts and peachy fruitiness at the front of the palate, bit chalky in the middle before it gives way to a tannic, astringent finish. Standard lager palate - not too fizzy, nor full. Nothing much wrong with this other than the brewer’s dreary lack of ambition. It’s as good as Kingfisher or similar but that’s a desperately low benchmark.
