Nov 22, 2009 On tap at St. Veronus. Dark chestnut brown with a small beige head. Doesn’t last, but lacing is godd. Caramel, dried fruit, and a touch of roast in the nose. There is also something a little, sour, there. Not bad sour, though. Interesting sour. Flavour is all sweetness, though, with dried fruit and caramel dominating. Could use a little more depth. Medium body and carbonation.

Nov 20, 2009 Bottle. Poured dark red brown with thin fast dissipating white head. Little lacing. Aroma is fruit, caramel and roast. Flavour is malty caramel with a little candy sugar, but very little. Light grassy finish.

Nov 14, 2009 On tap at beerbistro. Pours a clear reddish-brown with small off-white head. Caramel malt and sweet dark fruit in the nose. Flavour follows suit but also a slight apple note. Medium body. I’d drink it again.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle that was once on display. Pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Malty beer with a nutty, chewy caramel note, light roasted malt and a dry finish. Hint of chocolate. I liked it muchly.

Nov 7, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that fades quickly. Rich roasted malt aroma, with a faint smoky note and hints of molasses and dark fruits. Taste begins with burnt caramel, followed by spice and dark fruit, and a mild hop presence, finishes with a lingering molasses and dark fruit. Smooth and pleasant with slight carbonation.

Lots of brown sugar and mollasses in the aroma with some sweet fruitiness, and a touch of hops. An interesting mix of tart fruit, and sweet mollasses. A mix of a super malty belgian dubbel, and a fruity ipa.

Oct 29, 2009 Apple molasses and lemon are featured in what seems like a light Dubbel, and some dutch brewers are just irretrievable Belgian in their leanings whatever they make. I like that.

Oct 26, 2009 On tap at the Dronning Louise, Esbjerg, Denmark 23-10-09. Pours dark brown with a light beige head, some filminess to the head. Soft caramel and toffee in mouth and a touch of coffee, tasty i a little one dimensional. A6 A3 F6 P4 Ov13 3.2
