jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2008 Bottle pours a deep dark amber color with a foamy tan head that quickly fades. Very sweet aroma with pronounced toffee notes. Similar sweet flavor as well that also includes roasted malts. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 13, 2008 Red color with an off white head. Sweet maple malty aroma wafts into your nose. Medium body with a sweet malty flavor.
GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Mar 10, 2008 Sweet brown sugar, toffee aromas. Clear dark brown with giant tan head that recedes quickly. Simple sweet flavors - light caramel, gentle chocolate and roasted malts, light balancing bitterness in the finish. Medium-light body. Overall, a little too sweet for my taste. ebrowner88 (113), Rice, Minnesota, USA Mar 1, 2008 Nice creamy head at pour. Dissolves into nice lacey brussels of tiny bubbles. Red brown color, very nice in fluted pilsner glass. Smells of apples and carmel as you lift the glass. A taste of pear and carmel that ends in a ever so slight bitter taste and dry mouthfeel. Second sip gives the same with slight chocolate notes and less bitterness. A very well rounded beer. I wish I had more then one bottle! ajolly2 (123), USA Feb 21, 2008 Very good brew; it more than makes up in taste for what it lacks in complexity; thin-to-medium body; hints of caramel; very nice roasted malts; pours clear dark brown with a ruddy tinge; off-white head; strongly recommended. thill25 (216), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 200812 oz bottle...Pours a reddish brown w/ a slight off white head. Aroma of malts and carmel...flavor was sweet caramel, w/ a hint of malt and yeast and some dark fruits. Nice and easy on the palate, somewhat oily w/ a medium body. This is a perfect session beer! scanovajr (361), Stanford, California, USA Feb 14, 2008 A redish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma is malty with roasted notes. Taste is also very malty, notes of caramel and roasted malty. Low bitterness. Sweet finish. Drinkable
