Jan 22, 2008 Reddish brown beer pours a lively off-white head. Nice floral aroma. Taste is light with hints of raisin and caramel but is pretty subdued. The watery texture helps to bring a clean finish. Not the worst but I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next brown ale.

Jan 11, 2008 Updated: Aug 22, 2008bottle. pours a rich dark brown with a hint of ruby. not much head, but the aroma is wonderful. smells of caramel and brown sugar. has a bit of an astringent quality to its mouthfeel which is odd for this style. taste is full and rich with hints of sweetened malts, caramel, and some yeast in the finish. highly recommended.

Jan 10, 2008 bottle. little to no head. fruity smell and also a caramel or malt smell. this beer is very sweet. great after taste. it has a great redish brown color. may be a tad too sweet to drink more than one at one time. a very good beer if want something a tad out of the norm.

Dec 26, 2007 Updated: Jan 9, 2008Aroma is pleasant-caramel and fruity. Taste is similar and very good. Aftertaste is nice as well. Drinks easy and is one of the best brown ales. I have been drinking this for 6 months and have not been disappointed. Could not get for 8-10 weeks and was disappointed in many of the other brown ales I tried during this time.

Dec 23, 2007 Bottle. Smells like a doppelbock, with banana and such. Taste is also similar to a doppelbock, but lighter and creamier. Banana, caramel, yeast, etc. This is pleasant.

Dec 19, 2007 Clear deep red with a fine head. Aroma of sweet caramel, same thing going on in the flavor along with minor notes of roasted chocolate. Good for the style
