Jan 4, 2007 A dark Brown Ale in Dutch disguise. The head is moderate and the aroma is very sweet and malty. The flavour is very sweet and has notes of roasted malt, candy sugar and sour berries. I think the sweetness is to candy-like, it steals the taste...

Dec 28, 2006 Bottle (with a great little picture on it- Bosch or Bruegel?). Pours a dark brown that shows a bit of ruby around the edges as the light hits it. Aromas are weak and sweet. Maybe a touch of a nut scent in there, too. Flavor is pleasant but a bit dull. Has a wonderful sweet body that is about perfect for a brown ale. Not really complex, but really nice.

Dec 28, 2006 Bottled. Clear, brown beer with a small beige head. Sweet aroma with dried fruits and caramel. The flavor is sweet and caramel-ish, with some roasted malt and dried fruits. Medium body and a weak finish with malty sweetness. (061028)

Dec 22, 2006 Big thanks to Anna’s brother for sharing this one with me. A very nice brown body with a thin tan head. Very sweet aroma, similar to most Belgian Quad’s frankly. Taste is rather complex for such a simple beer, malts and chocolate dominate along with other flavors such as light fruits. Smooth ending.

Dec 3, 2006 Pours light brown with big beautiful head. Aroma of strong caramel and general sweetness. Taste is very thin, but relatively complex. A good brown ale, but i’ve had better.

Nov 21, 2006 Pour is brown with a average brown head. Aroma is sweet malts with a bit of paper bag. Flavor is a little better but still dominated by super sweet malts. Finish is a bit bready and caramel. Just ok but still i could not recomend it.

Nov 21, 2006 Sweet aroma of malt and caramel.
Decent head that desapears quickly.
Not too sweet, and not too bitter, a nice balance. Notes of caramel.
Mouthfeel a little watery, but acceptable. Right amount of carbonation
A nice beer, a little better than Newcastle IMO.
