drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 5, 2009 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Big malty sweet flavor and aroma with a touch of alcohol. Not too shabby - a little sweet, though. plovmand (1588), Helsinge, Denmark Aug 5, 2009 Bottle. Clear brown body with an off white head. Caramel, malt and nuts in aroma. Sweet malty flavour with some lots of caramel and toffee. Medium bodied. GardenGabe (125), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 1, 2009 Pour is deep mahogany with a rocky tan head that settles quickly. Smells of toffee, prunes and raisins. Taste is sweet but not as sweet as the nose would imply a mild bitterness lingers. As you aerating it in the mouth brings our subtle nut and a hint of cherry. Palate is light with a slight gumminess on the back of the tongue; a surprising amount carbonation gives it a airy feel. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 24, 2009 Color is a rich amber with good carbonation and a soft tight tan head. Aroma of caramel, raisins and yeast. Taste is light and nutty. Starting with a lighter medium body it goes down with a soft fluffy feel. Finish is a mild roasted malt taste that gives a nutty sweetness with a hint of fruit, this is followed with a faint bitterness. After taste is crisp for a moment then leaves dry as the roasted linger for just a bit. In the end its a clean refreshing Brown Ale. zdk (180), New York, USA Jul 18, 2009 Bottle: Pours reddish brown. Pruny/nutty arouma with a light body. Caramel malts with nutty notes. An average brown ale. Elwood (654), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Jul 14, 2009 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a deep brown with ruby highlights and a foamy, light tan head. Caramel, light roasted malt, brown sugar, and a bit of raisin in the nose. Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel. Raisin, caramel, dark honey, and a bit of roasted malt on the palate. A little nuttiness is in there too. Medium finish with some lingering raisin notes. I found this to be a very serviceable brown ale! lweiberg (89), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Jun 27, 2009 Pretty decent stuff, although I’m not down with only 11.2 ounce bottles served in 4 packs for $8.99 plus tax. Still, might be a better deal than spending a pretty penny for higher ABV Belgians. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jun 21, 2009 Pours a clear almond colour with a frothy tan head that leaves great paper-thin lacing. The nose is slightly nutty with some fruity/ light bready malt sugar sweetness poking through. There are suggestions fig and caramel. The flavour is of sugary-sweet caramel and toffee with an earthy hop and cereal grain finish. The body is meidum/full with a slick body and a slightly watery finish. I decent session brew
