Light coffee flavor, almost like a watery Maxwell House. But somewhat better than that. Not much else going on here. So-so. theraven1971 (13), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2006 Bottle. Poured dark brown, like a dark tea. Aroma hints of fruity sweetness. Nice head and lacing. Flavor starts as smooth and lightly sweet, but builds to strongly sweet as you drink it. A great beer for one bottle, but couldn’t bring myself to drink more than one at a time because of the lingering sweetness. Tmoney99 (4711), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted and produced good lacing.Moderate sweet nutty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium nutty sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. Smooth drinkable brew. tommy8768 (120), Litlle Compton, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Nice mahogany color out of the bottle, has ahuge head and nice lacing. Very malty and sweet taste, with molasses and brown sugar notes. Not much hop or bitterness though. A little on the sweet side but still very good. eaglefan538 (2360), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Poured a nice copper brown color with a tan, thick, and pillowy head. Lacing was excellent, nice and frothy rings the whole way down. The aroma was hard to pick up, maybe some nutty and yeasty tones (the latter wasn’t anticipated). The flavor was pretty nice, some molasses, caramel, bready, and nutty notes, but rather sweet. The only knock on the flavor was the sweetness, somewhat like a Dutch version of a Belgian, they put some funny sugar in this one or something. Mouthfeel was moderate and carbonated. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2006 The graphic on the bottle deterred me from trying this brew. Don’t worry about that; try this beer. Seems like this may be a ’sleeper’ brew. If the Brewery steps it up, I wouldn’t be suprised to see this on tap in more pubs/chains. Excellent and unique flavor that is worth a once over, twice over, thrice over, and more. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Bottle. Brilliant amber/ruby color, nice head, some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel. Medium body. Had a flavor, caramel malt profile, light on hops, sweet finish. Very smooth and drinkable ale. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
