themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA Jun 8, 2006 The graphic on the bottle deterred me from trying this brew. Don’t worry about that; try this beer. Seems like this may be a ’sleeper’ brew. If the Brewery steps it up, I wouldn’t be suprised to see this on tap in more pubs/chains. Excellent and unique flavor that is worth a once over, twice over, thrice over, and more. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA Jun 2, 2006 Bottle. Brilliant amber/ruby color, nice head, some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel. Medium body. Had a flavor, caramel malt profile, light on hops, sweet finish. Very smooth and drinkable ale. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Jun 2, 2006 Updated: Jan 22, 2007Brown. Oaty and a slightly thick syrupy taste to it. Good and the design on the bottle is fascinating. Skinnyviking (4106), Copenhagen, Denmark May 31, 2006 Bottle. Brown high and lasting head. Clar ruby body. Sweet malt aroma and flavor. Pleasant bitterness. nick76 (2632), Tampa, Florida, USA May 26, 2006 The aroma is sweet and very malty with caramel and dark fruit. The appearance is a medium red-brown with a medium tan head. The flavor is sweet and doughy with some yeastiness. There is also detectable bitterness but just enough to make it interesting. The palate is just ok for brown ale. I like it but it seems to be missing something. Also, I like the surreal artwork on the bottle; it looks like a Salvador Dali! ehhdayton (1113), USA May 23, 2006 The pour is a reddish brown with a decent tan head of considerable duration and lacing. The aroma that greets the nose is sweet with notes of caramel and fruit. The malty sweetness dominates throughout and no hops are apparent. The finish is light on the palate. cphbeerking (153), København K, Denmark May 22, 2006 Pours a clear red brown with a nice head, slight lacing. Rather straightforward nose of toffee and chocolate, taste likewise, for which reason I quickly came to think of this in terms of a dessert. Heavy and sweet for the style, though still drinkable. saxo (3508), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark May 20, 2006 Bottle. Nice big tan head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Taste is malty and sweet. Aroma likewise.
