Tilburgs Dutch Brown Ale

Bottle. Nice big tan head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Taste is malty and sweet. Aroma likewise.

one of the more interesting labels i’ve seen on this clear ruby brown ale. aroma seems malty with notes of sour apples. taste was refreshing, citrus meets kettlecorn. enjoyable but not remarkable.

Beautiful dark ruby color. Sugar added to the brew, and you can smell that.Tastes sweet, too, but in a pleasant way. Not too malty, not too strong. Maybe tehy could make a stronger version with more kick? The flavour is fruitym like sweet apples. I think this would be perfect with a rich marzipan cake.

Bottled. Dark copper coloured, small brown head. Aroma of sweet caramel and malts. Flavour is sweet caramellish malts with hints of apples (the sourness of apples) and also some raisins and plums towards the finish. Pleasant beer, which is refreshing at the same time it amuses your senses.

11.2 oz. Brownish red with a thin whitish head. Slightly sour aroma. Flavor of malt, apples, and a tinge of sourness. Great flavor but left odd bitter, sour, weirdness on the tongue.

A really briliant red when poured into the glass and put against the light. I smelled a little bit of apples in the aroma but there wasn’t much to smell. very sweet and tasty, was more of a fruit juice than a beer.

Clear dark brown. Small, frothy, off white head. Simple flavor and aroma consisting of toasty malt, dark fruits, and bready yeast. Medium, balanced body. Very drinkable, but not very exciting.

(Bottled@HBF2006) Clear, darkish amber color with a small but lasting head. Toffee-malty aroma with sourish hints. Sweetish-toffee-malty flavor with a very silght sourness. Medium-bodied, slightly slicky palate with balanced carbonation. An easily drinkable and balanced, but not very complex brew.
