Aroma is sweet, caramelly. Starts quite sweet on the tongue with caramel, some candy flavor. There is a bit of hops towards the finish, some carbonation and a little alcohol too. Not a whole lot of flavor beyond the sweetness. kumite56 (461), Cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Not bad. Beer poors a clear brown beer with a froth beige head. Aroma is of malt, and caramel. Medium bodied, moderately sweet initially with very little bitterness in the aftertaste. Too sweet in fact for my taste. RazingDreamz (123), North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Strong, pleasant aroma, slightly fruity. Beautiful reddish color, but minimal head. Good flavor, but not much hop character. Overall a good experience. hopdog (5549), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Aromas of caramel and a little fruity. Tastes of the same. Medium sweet. Thinner body. Lubiere (4480), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Clear brown ale with a thick collapsing moka head. Bottle foamed over upon opening. Fruity sweet malt with caramel and prunes. In mouth, sweet burned caramel with very little hops, raisin notes and a rather uninspired mix. Medium bodied. Thanks , piscator. swebri (16), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2005 The aroma of hops intrigued me but left me unsatisfied. Plenty of malt/carmally flavorings. The taste lingers for a while on my tongue. I will recommend this for a good brown ale. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2005 33 cl bottle. No yeast in bottom. Reddish brown colour with a weak rocky head. Aroma of bublegym. Very sweet and malty flavour, little notes of some roasted malt. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Deep clear mahogany. Nose sweet, cookie-ish malts. Flavor is exceedingly sugary and sweet, some chocolate and mild peat, but the sugariness overpowers everything else. It’s not completely horrible, but I can see completely horrible from where I’m standing.
