Nice light brown color and a caramel nutty flavor. Smooth and not overwhelming on the palate. A good stand by brown ale that is decently priced and available. Recommended as an upgrade over Newcastle Brown Ale.

On tap at Mahars. Pours brown with no head. Flavor is nutty but very watery, nothing stands out. Not a great taste.

Clear brown body with a thin tan head. Sweet aroma consisting of caramel and dark fruit. Smooth, oily palate with moderate carbonation. Sweet flavor as well. Caramel, nuts, apple, and a hint of chocolate. Just a touch of hops at the end. A very tasty brown ale.

pours dark amber, thin beige head. Aroma is malty and of dark fruits. Taste, malty, candi sugar, dark fruits, thick mouthfeel and grainy with a finish that has some lingering dry plum/ cherry skin. Some spices. Def. has an interesting twist on the palate that I can’t pinpoint.

Bottled. Pours a reddish brown hue with little sediment. Small off white head is quite thin be sustaning. Aromas of yeast, bananas and sweet malt. Tastes of bananas, candied fruit, maybe banana bread, and has a nice balance of all the essentials.

Tasted on tap at the Celebrator Best of the West Beerfest on 2/15/2009. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and nutty. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A little on the sweet side, but a nice easy to drink brown ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle 0,33 l. Brown, beige head. Nose has malts, syrup. Flavor is syrupy, malty with a bit of plastic or glue in it. Strange mixture of nice smooth maltiness and uggly plastic flavor.
