Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Nov 17, 2008 What is up with that label?!?!
Pours brown with a thin head.
Roasted nutty malt aroma. Some earthy tones and some dark fruitiness, almost cherry-plum like.
Nice sweet cola like flavour, but not overbearing. The body is a bit light but acceptable.. Very drinkable sweet flavour and a light fruity finish.
I actually really enjoyed this one. snook91901 (34), USA Oct 28, 2008 doesn’t seem much like a brown ale to me, but it was certainly delicious. Pours amber with a fizzy, clean head. Malt is lightly sweet and refreshing especially paired with the light hopping. Overall this is an extremely drinkable beer that would lend itself to session drinking or out at the grill. Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico Oct 25, 2008 NIce one a little nutty, but strong and with character. I liked it and the label it’s awesome, reminds me a famous painting. blutt59 (2045), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 23, 2008 bottle, amber pour with slight fading head, nose is caramel and plum, taste of sweet brown sugar, chocolate and light malt , finish is medium with caramel notes drpimento (796), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Oct 20, 2008 Kind of a bizarre label; don’t know what’s up with that. Anyway, Poured with a nice tan, foamy, frothy head and little lace. Brownish in color with cherry red highlights. Malty, a bit bittersweet aroma. Very malty, caramel flavor with a little fruit in flavor. Smooth, decent body and carbonation/ good mouthfeel. Easy drinking. No alcohol characteristics. A tad sweet in the finish. Could be a session beer. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a dark amber brown with light cream-colored head. Aroma is light. Flavor is nutty malts with light caramel notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. Dandman629 (28), Ashburn, Virginia, USA Oct 4, 2008 This beer isnt too bad for the price. Not sure if it was on sale but it was $6 for a six pack... which is becoming rare these days. Its a decent brown ale, smooth brown surgar and carmel taste. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. Deep garnet brown with thick rocky off-white head. Aroma is fresh wort and happy minerals like freshly-tilled soil. Good level of carbonation but soft. Bready and sweet finish, is very smooth and quite good.
