Jan 24, 2009 Bottle from Bottle Barn. Dark amber color with a little beige head. Light aroma suggesting a Vienna. Medium body with significant carbonation. Flavor is slightly grapey, with some roasted caramel. Finish is neither sweet nor dry. It is very pleasant. Interesting.

Jan 5, 2006 The body was medium brown with a light khaki colored head. The aroma was rich toffee with caramel and tea. The was also some sweet molasses. The taste was sweet honey with molasses, chocolate and tea. There was also some very sweet bubblegum. I need some more bitterness.

Jun 29, 2004 Sweet brown sugar, toffee aromas. Clear dark brown with decent tan head that recedes to cover. Simple sweet flavours - light caramel, gentle chocolate and roasted malts, light balancing bitterness in the finish. Medium-light body. Bottle (enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere). May 3, 2009 On-tap at Volo. Malty and yesasty aroma. Mahogoney dark reddish brown, with some soapy white head. Some nice lacing follows. Above average mouthfeel, dry, not complex but with Belgian characteristic finish that is yeasty.

Feb 19, 2006 Bottle (330ml). Poured bright clear copper with a good sized lasting off-white creamy head and nice drapes of lacing. Cola-like sweet roast malt, mild winter spices and vanilla, some fruit hovering around. Very sweet taste, brown sugar and caramel roast malt, cinnamon and nutmeg, some bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel syrupy, almost thick, fairly flat. Extremely sweet, but very easy to drink - would be a good dessert beer.

Appearance: light brown pour with medium light beige creamy top.3-
Nose: brown sweet malt-fruity feel with some yeasty tones.6+
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Full mid with thinner watery sides. Sweet brown sugars , fairly straight ale with some character at top end. Forgettable.

Mar 8, 2009 Tasted on tap at the Celebrator Best of the West Beerfest on 2/15/2009. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and nutty. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice carbonation. A little on the sweet side, but a nice easy to drink brown ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
