Aroma is pleasant-caramel and fruity. Taste is similar and very good. Aftertaste is nice as well. Drinks easy and is one of the best brown ales. I have been drinking this for 6 months and have not been disappointed. Could not get for 8-10 weeks and was disappointed in many of the other brown ales I tried during this time.

I dwell on beers that are liquid bricks. Nothing pale for me. This is by far an outstanding ale. Toffee and caramel undertones with an incredible finish, nothing obscure left when swallowed. Pleasant aroma and rich color combined with a vibrant pour makes for a filling and satisfying ale. In the past I have hounded, emailed and outright complained to my favorite restaurant to carry Tilburg’s. They do now. I do so love the painting ’The Garden Of Earthly Delight’ by Hieronymus Bosch on the front label. Bids you to wonder just what’s inside.

Poured rootbeer-brown with a nice taupe head, leaving a fair amount of lacing. Very sweet aroma. Starts off smooth, with a stringent hop bite in the middle, and a very pleasant, sweet finish. The word "velvety" comes to mind. Can’t quite place the sweetness...I see some here have called it caramel, grape, molasses...but that’s not quite it to me. Molasses probably comes closest. Very pleasant brew.

bottle. little to no head. fruity smell and also a caramel or malt smell. this beer is very sweet. great after taste. it has a great redish brown color. may be a tad too sweet to drink more than one at one time. a very good beer if want something a tad out of the norm.

From the bottle, this looks like the brown the name suggests, except when held to the light when it’s actually a radiant red. Nice head with an almost marshmellowy texture. The aroma hints at the sweet bite of a Granny smith apple, and the same flavor flourishes on the palatte. Quite delicious.

Simple good beer. Has a very slight sweet or honey taste, nice amount of bubbles, just right. I really enjoyed this, it went down easy and I really savored each sip. They carry it at underground bluz here in orlando, fl.

Had this at the end of the night, so I was feeling good, but this was a very nice finish. An excellent red-brown ale. Sweet yet w/out that sugary disintegrate-your-teeth feeling. Much sweeter than any other brown I’ve had, but I could drink this fairly regularly.

Bottle. Brilliant amber/ruby color, nice head, some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel. Medium body. Had a flavor, caramel malt profile, light on hops, sweet finish. Very smooth and drinkable ale.
